Bremelanotide, cyclic melanocortin receptor agonist

PT-141 (bremelanotide) is a cyclic heptapeptide analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone and a metabolite of Melanotan II. It is an agonist at melanocortin receptors, with published activity at MC4R and MC3R, and is studied as a central-acting melanocortin probe rather than for pigmentation.

Supplied as a lyophilised powder in 10 mg vials, manufactured in the UK and independently tested batch by batch.

Research use centres on melanocortin receptor pharmacology and central signalling models. Laboratory research use only.

Order before 3pm for same-day UK dispatch on Royal Mail Tracked 24, from £4.99.

Research Handling Guidance

Before reconstitution, allow both the lyophilised peptide and your chosen diluent to settle at normal laboratory room temperature. Equalising temperatures in this way supports the structural stability of the compound while it goes into solution.

Diluents and reconstitution solutions are purchased separately.

PT-141 questions

How is PT-141 tested?
Each production batch is sent for independent HPLC purity analysis and mass spectrometry identity confirmation by Janoshik Analytical. The batch reference printed on the vial links to its Certificate of Analysis, which can be viewed on the lab's own verification site.
How is PT-141 supplied?
As a sterile lyophilised (freeze-dried) powder in a sealed glass vial, available in 10 mg vials. Vials are labelled with compound name, strength and batch reference and are dispatched in plain, tracked packaging from the UK.
How should the lyophilised vial be stored?
Unopened lyophilised vials should be kept refrigerated at 2–8 °C, or at −20 °C for long-term storage, protected from light. Once reconstituted, solutions should be refrigerated and used within the period appropriate to the laboratory's own stability data.
Is this for human use?
No. All Regent Peptides products are supplied strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. They are not medicines and are not for human or veterinary use, diagnosis or treatment.
