Bacteriostatic Water
£10.00/ 3ml vial
Volume
Sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, for reconstitution
Bacteriostatic water is sterile, non-pyrogenic water containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative, which inhibits bacterial growth in a multi-use vial. It is the standard laboratory diluent for reconstituting lyophilised peptides where a prepared solution will be drawn from more than once.
Supplied in 3 ml and 10 ml sealed vials. Store at room temperature, protected from light, and discard any vial showing particulates or cloudiness.
Use our reconstitution reference on each peptide page to calculate the resulting concentration for a given diluent volume. For laboratory use only.
Order before 3pm for same-day UK dispatch on Royal Mail Tracked 24, from £4.99.
Independent testing
All lab reportsHPLC and mass spectrometry on every batch. Certificate of Analysis available on request.
Third-party analysis by Janoshik Analytical. Each certificate is verifiable on the laboratory’s own site.
- Manufactured and lyophilised in the UK

Research Handling Guidance
Before reconstitution, allow both the lyophilised peptide and your chosen diluent to settle at normal laboratory room temperature. Equalising temperatures in this way supports the structural stability of the compound while it goes into solution.
Diluents and reconstitution solutions are purchased separately.
